Objective

Digital fire detector

diva-e and Hekatron jointly pursued the goal of implementing a digitized fire alarm system. In order to meet the highest safety requirements, the central focus of the project was to consider security and reliability throughout the various project phases, system components and processes.

Nowadays, a fire detector that reliably alarms in the event of an emergency is no longer sufficient on its own. Customers expect efficient commissioning and maintenance, the fire alarm directly to their end device and decentralized management of fire protection systems. The system integrates thousands of devices throughout Germany and for this very reason must serve the highest safety requirements appropriate to the intended use.

Implementation

In-house development by diva-e

diva-e's IoT experts conceptualized and developed the Hekatron system as a custom development from the software on the IoT hardware to the cloud to the iOS and Android apps. The key to the success of the complex overall project was the productive and open collaboration with the customer and several service providers.

Result

Cloud-based fire protection solution

Customers benefit from even more quality, efficiency and safety with the newly developed solution. The fire protection solution with service and maintenance features integrates fire detectors, gateways and apps with the cloud and can be networked with the entire building automation system. This results in an IoT platform with maximum solidity.

The great complexity of the overall system was an exciting challenge. We had to keep a constant eye on the product strategy and the system architecture, especially when developing the individual components.
